I have always wanted a signature perfume that epitomizes my personality as modern women today. One that reflects a modern feast for the senses. Like most people today, I love perfume. I believe that people who love perfume tend also to love food and art more than the average person. Perfume lovers adore a story, too, and see their lives as movies in which they’re the star. And it’s freaking true. It’s just my hunch and not a convincing fashion statement. What makes me adore perfume?

It is so simple. I love perfume like all beautiful things around me that twirl me into a rapturous delight. It is more about chemistry, fashion and also a finishing touch to my personality. Moreover, I believe that the more one is attuned to smells in one’s surroundings, the more one can appreciate simple pleasures.

And here we go! DKNY Be Delicious Fresh Blossom is what I was looking for in a perfume a very long time. Indeed, it is!  Now I have found it. What a refreshing and pleasant relief it turned out to be for me.

It is designed to fill in a sleek metal and glass apple bottle, this juicy fragrance combines the scent of apple with a sophisticated blend of exotic flowers and sensual woods. Like the city that inspired it, Be Delicious celebrates individuality with refreshing spirit. I must confess that the very first time I tested this on myself at the perfumery; I was mesmerized by its magic on my mood.  After going round testing on Salvatore, Coach Poppy etc, I was enthralled by Fresh Blossom that I decided to go for.

For me, Fresh Blossom accentuates the floral sensation with sweet lacings of fruity notes, true to its name. The subtle sweet pink color of the perfume oil itself is fresh, dewy with a hint of beautiful floral accents creating some lightness yet distinct. I must say DKNY did a great job in blending up citrus and lovely pink blossoms to give a signature scent with truly reflects femininity.

Flora the sophisticated signature

I figured I should review the perfume I bought, since I’ve been wearing it for a month (although not almost every day). When I was returning from Bali, I couldn’t resist stopping by the duty free shop at the airport to buy perfume. I tried out as many samples as I wanted in the presence of my hubby, I decided I didn’t particularly love any of them but had a slight affinity to Gucci Flora EDT. I thought why don’t I give it a try.

Now after having worn it for 1 month, I feel that it’s good, but not my favorite definitely. It has a sweet and citrusy scent, but not too strong in either direction. So what I ended up smelling at the end of the day is what could be called an orange dreamsicle (oranges and cream). Flora is subtle; the floral scent of course evokes any young women, and has a wild, daring side. It smells very of the moment. It’s light, clean, fresh and sweet. My husband was the one helped me to decide which perfume to go for at the duty free shop. He says it smells like Cotton Candy which I really hope is true!Gucci’s Flora fragrance fits into the larger scheme of things. It has a blend of citrus, peony, rose, osmanthus, pink pepper, sandalwood and patchouli, but they don’t matter too much: this is a sheer. I feel it is floral but not too floral, it’s vaguely peach-y but not too fruity, it’s sweet-ish but not too sweet. I believe that those who love Flora might well have a hedonistic, daring side but they prefer not to express. This is exactly what Flora is like.
It has an ageless quality: it’s obviously geared towards someone young. In one word, I would describe Gucci Flora as fabulous. Oh well! I guess it’s time to start looking for a new perfume. I really like citrus and fresh scents, and I am still looking for my signature scent that to-date I have not found it yet.

I love Perfume

Like many women out there, I absolutely adore perfume. I'm not a huge collector but I do enjoy (and actually use) the perfume I do have and also explore the various scent and brands in the market on a regular basis.

The latest catch is Femme Hugo Boss. This is what it looks like.



My absolute favorite perfume (which I caught a whiff last week at one of their promotion) is Coach’s Poppy Flower Eau de Parfum. I just love everything about this scent. It's young and sweet, and it puts me in a very happy and pretty mood. And just how gorgeous is the bottle? When I first heard that this Coach was coming out with a new perfume I was ecstatic. I couldn’t wait to try it out. I absolutely loved the floral scent it has and I was looking forward to grab the new scent when it hit the stores. This collection is dedicated to life, love, and laughter. The This scent is absolutely wonderful.

The top note in this perfume is wet ivy, citrus, lychee, cassis, jasmine petals and water lily. When you go a little deeper you get the middle notes of musky peony, sugared raspberry, amberwood, apricot skin and soft sandalwood. It gives a blend of sweet, sensual, youthful, vibrant, and totally lighthearted fragrance all wrapped in one. I think this perfume would be best for the playful summer months. It makes you feel like you are whole. It is a very classy and distinctive scent.

For me this is a wonderful smell. This will be up for grabs when my current perfume is running out.
I do feel very sensitive to my sensations when I am wearing a perfume of my taste. It heightens my senses to what my body wants. The sweet smell can make us feel happy when it is on us. Instantly it brings a touch of confidence to me. I have explored myriad collections of perfume ranging from TommyGirl Tommy Hilfiger, Escada Incredible Me, Elizabeth Arden Pretty and Anna Sui Dolly Girl Bonjour L’Amours. I do enjoy treating myself to array of fragrances in the market.

Verdict:
This perfume (Hugo Boss Femme) is a great addition to my collection. I use this scent for a night out. It is a wonderful inviting and invigorating scent. You will have everybody looking your way when they get a whiff of you. You can’t go wrong unless you use too much. A little bit goes a long way. This perfume is pricey yet it is wonderful. So let’s just drizzle and dazzle away some perfume!
